The experience of New Patrons has helped us to gain a better understanding of the cultural changes that we are seeing around us, and the role of art in these changes. But in order to recognise the depth and scope of what is at stake, it is necessary to call on the field of humanities and to put these activities into perspective. For this reason, mediators and their partners are supporting or have helped instigate research programmes, seminars as well as publications.
